At Negus Winery in Alexandria, every bottle begins with a family recipe. Founder Gize Negussie learned Ethiopian honey wine (tej) from his mother and refined it with modern craft. Using raw honey and patient fermentation, we create bright, floral semi-sweet and semi-dry styles—balanced, food-friendly, and unmistakably Ethiopian. Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Although the location is deep back in the cut off the main road, it was still a great experience. Customer service was top notch. We ordered a flight each and the charcuterie board for two, which also came with sambusas. We tried 7 wines total. The second to last semi - sweet honey wine was my fav. She enjoyed that one too, and also the white blend wine as well. In regard to the charcuterie, the food selection complimented the wines well. The injera chips were good, sambusas were bomb, and I usually dont like anything mango, but the dried mangoes were great and paired well with the sweeter honey wines. Lastly, the vibes were smooth. Jazzy music, everyone in their own area just conversing, and the paintings were great and added to the vibes too. Would def visit again sometime; recommended it to my cousins.

From the cozy little seating to the flights, to the service. This place is amazing. We will for sure come back. Make sure to try all the variations on the honey wine, you won't regret it. All of the snacks we tried were also so tasty, and recommended by the young lady working. They apparently have a website and we will be ordering from them very soon!

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming perfect for a relaxing evening together. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to make great recommendations. Every pour was delicious, especially the Mama's Honey Wine, and we loved how well the small bites paired with the wines. We never felt rushed, just genuinely taken care of. This is exactly the kind of spot we’ll come back to for special nights out. Highly recommend!
